About The Position

The Banquet Server is responsible for all table service duties as well as prep work and closeout tasks.

Requirements

  • Previous serving experience preferred.
  • Must complete Serve-Safe program after hire.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, including employees and the general public.
  • Ability to speak and write clearly, concisely and persuasively using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation with ability to communicate one-on-one or in group settings.
  • Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to perform with considerable independence and initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with banquet room and table prep prior to events.
  • Assists with food/buffet preparation before and during the event.
  • Ensures safe food handling guidelines are followed by self and team members.
  • Delivers food from the kitchen and/or prep area in a timely manner.
  • Serves appetizers and plated dinners to guests.
  • Takes drink orders and serves beverages.
  • Responds to guest questions and/or requests in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Assists with post-event clean up, inventory, food storage, and tear down.
  • Works as a member of the team, communicates with team members and supervisor to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
  • Keeps direct supervisor promptly informed of key/significant issues or concerns.
  • Carries out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment and surrounding area for oneself, co-workers and public. Responds to hazardous situations and/or potentially unsafe conditions by taking corrective action as capable and promptly notifying supervisory personnel.
  • Performs related duties as assigned or apparent.
