Job Summary: The Banquet Server provides exceptional food and beverage service to Club Members and guests during a variety of events, ranging from intimate dinner parties and golf tournaments to large-scale weddings. This role ensures a seamless dining experience by delivering attentive, professional service in a fast-paced event setting.

Requirements

Knowledge of restaurant etiquette
Familiarity with health and safety regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Standing for long periods of time
Lift up to 20 lbs
Ability to work outside in the summer months

Previous serving experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Greet members and guests with a positive attitude
Responsible for completing detailed opening and closing duties
Ability to read and understand banquet function sheets
Prepare event spaces by covering tables, arranging silverware, glassware, and other dining essentials
Serve plated meals, buffet-style dishes, or passed appetizers efficiently and courteously
Clear empty plates, refill drinks, and ensure tables are clean and organized
Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and event coordinators to ensure smooth service
Be prepared to adapt to changing circumstances, such as last minute guest count changes or unexpected requests
Handle any Member and guest concerns or issues that arise during the event with professionalism and tact
