We're seeking passionate Banquet Servers to bring their skills to our dynamic team. As a Part-Time Banquet Server, you'll play a key role in creating unforgettable event experiences. From setting up banquet spaces to serving food and beverages with care, you'll help ensure every detail meets our high standards and exceeds guest expectations. You'll keep service running smoothly, maintain a clean and safe environment, and bring a friendly, professional presence to every interaction. In this role, teamwork, quick thinking, and a commitment to excellence come together to make each event a success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy with prior driving experience upon employment.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays to accommodate Catering schedule.

  • Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items.

Responsibilities

  • Greets and welcome guests, assist with seating and food service, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Serve food and/or beverage to guests efficiently, ensuring proper timing and presentation.
  • Assist with the set-up, service and breakdown of all assigned banquet functions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of serving areas, equipment and tables, sometimes multiple events in a day.
  • Arrange and replenish buffet lines, drink stations or passed appetizers as needed.
  • Replenish and clean up guests' plates and glasses as needed and clear plates between courses.
  • Serve the food and/or beverage listed on the Banquet Event Order to the standards of the department and expectations of the client.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local health regulations, including handling food with care and monitoring serving temperatures.
  • Assist with client complaints and escalate to leadership if needed.
  • Work to ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
