About The Position

The Banquet Sales Coordinator is responsible for generating, securing and coordinating banquet and event business.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Proficient in English verbal and written
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales, hospitality, or as an event coordinator
  • Access to the vessel required
  • Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission, if applicable
  • Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively
  • Safely work with provided equipment
  • Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period
  • Must be able to work in a seated position for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in a smoking environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Respond to banquet and event inquiries in a timely manner
  • Conduct tours of event spaces and provide detailed event information
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and event orders (BEOs) according to company standards
  • Book and confirm banquet event, assuring all client needs are clearly communicated
  • Maintain accurate records of bookings, deposits, client communications and final payments
  • Coordinate with Banquet Manager and Banquet Chef to ensure all event details are executed
  • Upsell services—such as menu upgrades, bar packages, décor and add on experiences
  • Support marketing initiatives to grow banquet business, including outreach and follow-up
  • Attend BEO meetings or operations meetings
  • Maintain excellent customer service and follow up after each event to build repeat business
