Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required, post secondary education or degree in hospitality or related field preferred
  • Minimum of two to four years of banquet or food and beverage supervisory experience required
  • Professional, outgoing, and guest focused demeanor
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage guests and team members
  • Proven leadership ability with a collaborative, team oriented approach
  • Ability to consistently exceed expectations of guests and team members
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time while overseeing operations and supporting service
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to approximately 30 pounds
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout dining rooms, kitchens, storage areas, banquet spaces, outdoor venues, and retail areas
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, guest facing environment
  • Ability to work in varying conditions including heat, cold, noise, and outdoor environments
  • Ability to maintain focus, professionalism, and a positive leadership presence during high volume service periods

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hotel or resort banquet operations preferred
  • Working knowledge of three meal restaurant operations preferred
  • Working knowledge of hotel food and beverage operations, including room service and banquets, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all banquet and catering events, including weddings, social functions, meetings, and special events
  • Lead and support banquet team members to ensure consistent service execution and guest satisfaction
  • Act as the primary on site banquet leader during events, maintaining a visible presence and resolving guest or operational issues in real time
  • Collaborate with Sales, Events, Culinary, and Food and Beverage leadership to ensure accurate event details, timelines, and service expectations
  • Ensure banquet setups, service flow, and breakdowns align with event orders, brand standards, and guest expectations
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of banquet staff
  • Ensure pre event meetings, pre shift briefings, and post event follow up occur consistently
  • Monitor labor scheduling and productivity to align with event volumes and budgets
  • Assist with F&B inventory, equipment tracking, and supply ordering
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, health, and alcohol service regulations
  • Assist as Manager on Duty within food and beverage outlets as needed, supporting service, guest recovery, and operational leadership
  • Provide floor support in restaurants, bars, or other outlets during high volume periods or staffing needs
  • Communicate effectively with outlet leaders when acting as Manager on Duty to ensure consistency and alignment
  • Maintain a guest focused leadership presence across both banquet and outlet operations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall food and beverage and property objectives
