About The Position

The Banquet Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the Banquets department, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position involves actively recruiting, supervising, coaching, counseling, directing, training, and mentoring employees to meet the company's quality standards. The Banquet Manager will initiate employment actions with the General Manager's approval, including hiring, termination, suspension, discipline, promotion, and transfer of staff. A significant aspect of this role is managing employee relations to foster a positive, harmonious, compliant, and cooperative work environment. In addition to managing the team, the Banquet Manager is responsible for the daily activities of the banquet department, aligning with company policies and objectives to ensure guest satisfaction and profitability. This includes effective interaction with clients, event planning support, scheduling, room setup, compliance with food handling policies, safety protocols, employee training, and supervision. The Banquet Manager must also adhere to budget and cost requirements while executing any other tasks assigned by the General Manager. A high level of oversight is required to ensure the smooth running of all assigned events, which necessitates exceptional planning in advance. The role offers an hourly rate of $25 plus tips, and it will remain open until September 1, 2024. The Banquet Manager is expected to manage all aspects of food service operations within assigned areas, ensuring compliance with alcohol service policies and maintaining high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout all food and beverage areas. This position requires a proactive approach to managing the banquet budget, labor costs, and event execution according to Banquet Event Order (BEO) guidelines, ensuring quality service and hospitality at all times.
