About The Position

The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for setting up and breaking down all venue spaces at The Campus of Life, as outlined in the Banquet Event Order (BEO). This position entails extensive physical labor which includes lifting of tables, chairs, and transporting equipment. Requirements

  • One year of related experience in a banquet setting
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Responsibilities

  • Complete all information listed on the Banquet Event Order (BEO) is set up in the meeting room.
  • Clarify and execute all pop-up events, refresh, and revision for meeting rooms.
  • Decorate and set-up all buffets to the stated theme.
  • Install and prepare all event bars and back bars.
  • Polish and ensure that all meeting rooms have water glasses, silverware, and all other standard meeting set-up.
  • Check and maintain all assigned storerooms have been cleaned and organized.
  • Ensure that all linen and skirts are free from stains and tears when being used for an event.
  • Ensure that the meeting rooms have been completed, cleaned, and checked by a Banquet Captain or Manager on Duty before the end of their shift.
