About The Position

Ponte Family Estate Winery, established in 2003 and farming vineyards since 1984, is a California-based company located in the heart of Temecula Wine Country. They produce over 20 estate grown varietals within certified sustainable facilities and are situated next to their Four Diamond, 90-room boutique hotel, Ponte Vineyard Inn, surrounded by 300 acres of vineyards. The company is known for its excellent hospitality, wine, and food in a beautiful environment. The Banquet House Person is responsible for manually setting up ceremony sites, reception sites, and all meeting rooms to ensure guest expectations are exceeded.

  • Must be willing to assist co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Ability to lift and move multiple tables and chairs and podiums weighing up to 50 lbs. through a crowded room.
  • Requires considerable physical activity on a continuous basis throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and adhere to the Ponte values, safety and service standards.
  • Understand and adhere to environmental standards set by the winery/company.
  • Ensure the safety of guests and associates.
  • Set up all meeting and event rooms, including transporting awkward and heavy materials such as staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, etc., from storage area to meeting and event rooms.
  • Communicate with supervisor throughout shift to ensure efficiency.
  • Break down all meeting and event rooms when requested by supervisor.
  • Maintain established cleaning schedule of meeting and event rooms.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other tasks as requested by Management.
  • Treat all associates and guests in a respectful manner.
  • Exhibit integrity (honesty and truthfulness).
