About The Position

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking a Banquet Server to serve food and beverages to banquet guests. The role involves setting up banquet functions by arranging tables with linens, dishes, flatware, and glassware according to the banquet order. Additionally, the Banquet Server will be responsible for breaking down banquet functions by clearing tables and transporting used items to the appropriate areas for cleaning.

Requirements

• Six (6) months of experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand and walk for duration of shift.
• Must be able to lift and carry trays weighing approximately 40 pounds.
• Must be able to push and/or pull carts weighing approximately 100 pounds.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room in accordance with catering specification sheet; table linens, dishes, silverware, and glassware.
• Greet guests in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Serve food and beverage items to guests using hand-held trays and/or buffet carts.
• Prepare and set up condiments.
• Break down banquet room upon completion of function; remove soiled dishes, glassware and silverware and transport to dishwashing area.
