Position Summary We are seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. This role is integral to the success of our banquet and catering operations, supporting a wide variety of conferences, weddings, and special events. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and takes pride in producing consistently high-quality cuisine.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced, high-volume banquet or catering kitchen is essential
  • Strong ability to follow recipes and written instructions precisely
  • Excellent knife skills and knowledge of multiple cooking techniques
  • Demonstrated commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Positive, energetic attitude with a willingness to learn and grow

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chef and culinary leadership team in the production and execution of food for banquet and group events
  • Accurately interpret and execute recipes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation
  • Prepare ingredients including chopping, peeling, portioning, and cooking
  • Set up and break down workstations with required ingredients and equipment
  • Minimize food waste through proper organization, portion control, and cross-utilization
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment at all times
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of food and supplies
  • Be accountable for the quality, timing, and presentation of all prepared dishes
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safety standards
