The Banquet Cook II is responsible for setting up and organizing the work area, receiving, inspecting, and rotating food products, and preparing and storing raw food properly. This role involves following standardized recipes, adhering to portion control, plating cold foods, monitoring finished products for timely service, and ensuring a quality product is prepared. The cook must also follow all Governmental Food Sanitation Standards, monitor temperatures, clean and sanitize work surfaces, use kitchen equipment safely, and notify supervisors of any issues or equipment malfunctions. General duties include promoting teamwork, communicating problems, being polite to guests and colleagues, executing emergency procedures, complying with safety regulations, attending training, maintaining a clean work area, and adhering to hotel standards.
