About The Position

The position involves producing buffet food and setting up the buffet server area by the opening time. The role includes running the pizza station, managing the hot left and back kitchen, and ensuring that the buffet area is clean and organized. The individual will work with all kitchen cooking equipment and is expected to provide a consistently high level of service. Additionally, the role requires identifying issues and suggesting potential solutions while promoting an atmosphere of teamwork. The position reports to the Banquet Lead Cook and may involve performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in a full-service restaurant required.
  • Experience with buffet food and banquets preferred, but not required.
  • Adaptable and willing to embrace change.
  • Able to connect and establish relationships with guests and team members.
  • Quality-focused.
  • Cheerful, upbeat attitude.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge and usage of sanitation practices.
  • Knowledge of basic culinary techniques (i.e. frying, boiling, roasting, etc.).
  • Strong knife skills.
  • Organized and time-efficient.
  • Able to work under stressful conditions.
