From crafting exquisite dishes for weddings and corporate events to ensuring seamless kitchen operations during busy seasons, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise in a vibrant mountain resort setting.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years as a Chef in a banquet or high-volume culinary environment.
  • Strong understanding of banquet kitchen operations, food safety practices, and menu development.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse team.
  • Adaptable and quick-thinking, with the ability to resolve issues during high-pressure events.
  • Able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in high-temperature environments.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office for menu planning, ordering, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and oversee the production of high-quality dishes following standardized recipes and cooking methods.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control for all banquet events.
  • Develop seasonal banquet menus that cater to guest preferences while meeting profitability goals.
  • Enforce food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
  • Monitor inventory, oversee product ordering, and manage stock using FIFO practices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise banquet kitchen staff.
  • Schedule kitchen staff based on event demands and sales forecasts.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented atmosphere that encourages growth and high performance.
  • Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Director to monitor food costs and optimize resource use.
  • Participate in hiring, training, and conducting performance reviews for kitchen staff.
  • Communicate with vendors to maintain positive relationships and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
