About the position

Hilton Anatole is currently seeking a Banquet Chef to join our award winning team! In this role you will assist the banquet team in planning and overseeing operations while assuring efficiency alongside our culinary team. Spanning 45 lush acres north of downtown Dallas, this AAA 4-Diamond property is an icon in the vibrant Design District boasting over 1,600 rooms, 600,000 square feet of banquet space, and 6 food and beverage outlets - 3 restaurants, a marketplace, pool, and in-room dining. The ideal candidate for this position will thrive in a high-volume environment with a passion for culinary excellence and incorporating current trends, have a talent for training and developing others and building comradery amongst teams, and have a natural and positive approach to hospitality leadership. This is a Full-Time position, candidates must have full availability including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and participate in daily banquet culinary operations, including preparation and production of meals, supervision of food quality and presentation, compliance with all safety and sanitation standards and regulations, team member productivity and performance, implementation of policies and procedures, cost controls and overall profitability.
  • Visually inspect, select and use quality food and beverage products including fruits, vegetables, meats, fish and spices.
  • Analyze Banquet Event Orders to plan and coordinate the food and beverage portion of client functions with Catering and/or Meetings and Conventions/Events.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
  • Monitor and develop team member performance, including providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and assisting with evaluations, scheduling and assigning work and delivering recognition and reward.
  • Recruit, interview and train team members.
  • Assist in the creation and planning of menus.
