WHAT YOU’LL DO Exemplifies Muckleshoot Casino Resort’s values and sets a great example by always demonstrating excellent guest service and professionalism. Practice, support and promote the mission, vision, and values of Muckleshoot Casino Resort. Meet with all conveners at the beginning of all functions. Ensure the smooth, professional operation of the banquet functions. Promote positive guest relations and handle complaints and suggestions. Work closely with the kitchen to ensure food quality and presentation standards. Responsible for the organization of the staff and the timelines of food and beverage service. Perform administrative tasks; receipts, special events planning, and rental equipment ordering. Communicate with clients and staff in a professional manner. Collect payment for banquet room functions. Ensure proper and timely set-up and teardown and perform final walk-through of the rooms. Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive work environment; promote positive team member relations and report issues to the appropriate personnel. Other duties as assigned. WHAT YOU’LL BRING Ability to obtain a Class III B gaming license. Minimum of 1 (one) year experience in a supervisory or managerial position within a large multi-faceted food and beverage department. Supervisory experience must include maintaining a staff of up to 15, running multiple functions simultaneously and overseeing functions of up to 350+ guests. At least 2 (two) years’ experience working in a variety of capacities within a high-volume Banquet/Catering operation with 1 (one) year of fine dining service required. Must maintain a valid WA State Health Card/Food Handlers Permit. Must maintain a valid Liquor Service Permit. HOW YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL Knowledge of special menu items, food preparation and presentation, presentation of wines and liquor, complete knowledge of all room set-ups, table set-ups, and catering procedures. Knowledge and skills using computer software, MS Office Suite and P.O.S. or register systems. Knowledge of health & safety standards, and safety regulations as required. Skilled in excellent communication; both oral and written. Read, write, and speak English fluently. Ability to produce successful results with minimal supervisor. Ability to present etiquette in table setting and service. Ability to train and mentor diverse staff. Ability to work well with subordinates and management. Ability to work with and maintain confidential materials and information Must be at least 21 years of age
