About The Position

We are looking for an energetic, creative, driven, and initiative-taking Banquet Captain at the Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport . A Banquet Captain is the key point of contact for clients and staff during banquet events, ensuring exact standards of customer service and overall event satisfaction. The Banquet Captain’s duties and responsibilities include: Overseeing banquet event setup and ensuring all details are in line with client requirements. Coordinating with the kitchen staff and chefs to ensure prompt preparation and delivery of food and beverages Ensuring that the presentation of food and beverages meet the hotel’s standards. Directing banquet staff throughout the event, ensuring they provide excellent customer service. Addressing and resolving any issues or complaints from guests in a professional and prompt manner Monitoring and managing inventory of supplies and equipment. Communicating with clients before, during and after the event to ensure satisfaction and to build relationships for future bookings Providing training and guidance to banquet staff as needed Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements

  • Proven work experience in banquet or catering management
  • Knowledge of several types of banquet setups and service styles
  • Outstanding leadership, organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively deal with clients and staff.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related field is a plus.
  • Reliability, flexibility, and ability to work nights, and weekends on a full-time basis.

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related field is a plus.
