Banquet Captain
About The Position
Overview As a Banquet Captain with Suncadia, you'll be responsible for leading the Banquets team in all functions, including set-up, service, and breakdown. With a passion for service and the abilty to think on your feet, you'll ensure that each event exceeds guest expectations. As a leader, you'll model service standards for the banquet team and take an active role in the training and supervision of the banquet staff. Salary Range: $22.00/hour - $25.00/hour + Gratuity There's no place like Suncadia. Requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be 21-years of age or older
- Must possess a valid US Driver's License
- Two or more years’ banquets experience in a high volume, upscale hotel
- Exceptional knowledge and understanding of various banquet and food service techniques and standards
- “TIPS” or equivalent certification
- Effective leadership, management, and guest service skills
Responsibilities
- Assist Banquet Manager with selection, training, and scheduling of Banquet personnel as needed
- Oversee all aspects of assigned banquet function activities, ensuring that all areas are properly set and ready for execution at the appointed time
- Obtain and review Banquet Event Orders, and coordinate activities as needed to ensure timely performance of contracted setup, food preparation, and service
- Monitor banquet personnel in the performance of their duties
- Assist in conducting pre-shift and pre-function meetings
