About The Position

The Banquet Captain is responsible for serving food in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner to enhance the experience of banquet clients.

Requirements

• Two years of server experience.
• Prior experience in supervising wait staff and training.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to work in confined spaces for long periods.

Nice To Haves

• One year experience as a server in a luxury environment preferred.
• CPR Certification and/or First Aid Training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, counsel, and assist banquet wait staff on all breakfasts, lunches, and dinner functions.
• Work closely with kitchen staff to adhere to the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
• Observe guests to fulfill additional requests and perceive when meals have been completed.
• Maintain the highest standard of sanitation and cleanliness.
• Be in charge of setup, service, and breakdown of all silver, china, glassware, food, and beverage.
• Follow through with any additional requests/duties assigned by immediate supervisor, including signing all Banquet receipts and inputting into the point of sale system.

Benefits

• $18.50 hourly wage plus service charge.
