Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• A thorough understanding of Banquet Service required.
• A minimum of one (1) year hotel Banquet Captain experience required.
• Ability to effectively communicate in a fast-paced environment with guests and colleagues alike is required.
• Serve Safe and Tips Certification required.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have the physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds consistently.
• Must have the physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including morning and afternoon shifts with weekend and holiday availability.
• Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in dynamic situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead other colleagues by coaching, motivating, and giving direction.
• Make the function space visually appealing and present the menu offering for the event.
• Set up linen and table settings, food station design, and beverage service.
• Perform general banquet preparation and room refreshes.
• Maintain a sanitary environment.
