About The Position

The Banquet Bartender/Server is responsible for delivering an exceptional food and beverage experience to members and guests during banquet events and club functions. This role supports event setup, execution, and breakdown while providing elevated plated service and professional bar service. The Banquet Bartender/Server ensures accuracy, hospitality, and attention to detail while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism reflective of the club’s commitment to excellence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in fine dining, private club, banquet service, or bartending preferred.
  • Knowledge of classic cocktails, wine service, and banquet-style service required.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional and polished demeanor.
  • Thorough knowledge of banquet menus, cocktails, beer, and wine offerings.
  • Strong multitasking and time-management skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to manage timing and coordination of food and beverage service for large groups.
  • Proficiency with POS system.
  • Ability to build rapport with members and recognize members by name.
  • Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Adheres to all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines.
  • Flexible schedule with availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout event spaces.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 25 lbs, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to carry trays at shoulder level and perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, push, and pull as required during event setup and service.

Nice To Haves

  • Private club experience strongly preferred.
  • CARE, TIPS, or ServSafe Alcohol certification preferred (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates reliability by consistently reporting to work on time and in proper uniform.
  • Collaborates with servers, bartenders, barbacks, kitchen staff, and management to provide efficient, coordinated service during events.
  • Attends pre-shift lineups to receive and share event-specific details.
  • Assists with event setup, breakdown, and completion of assigned side work.
  • Fosters a positive, team-oriented environment to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Provides immediate, attentive service to members and guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Clearly explains menu selections, beverage offerings, and event details.
  • Accurately inputs member names and charges into the POS system and ensures proper billing.
  • Maintains clear communication with kitchen staff, event coordinators, and management to ensure seamless service.
  • Promptly communicates any service concerns, member requests, or operational issues to management.
  • Demonstrates creativity and adaptability when addressing member inquiries and resolving service challenges.
  • Prepares and presents beverages and plated items with attention to visual appeal and appropriate garnishes.
  • Anticipates bar and service needs, ensuring proper stocking and organization to maintain efficiency during high-volume events.
  • Prioritizes member and guest satisfaction by anticipating needs and providing personalized service.
  • Maintains a welcoming, professional, and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Serves food and beverages in accordance with banquet timelines and service standards.
  • Clears dishes and glassware, resets silverware, and maintains cleanliness throughout events.
  • Ensures banquet and bar areas are clean, organized, and properly stocked before, during, and after events.
  • Shows appreciation for member feedback and continuously strives to improve service quality.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
