About The Position

The Banquet Bartender at Oak View Group is responsible for the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet and catering events, ensuring excellent communication with guests and the culinary team. This part-time role involves serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong initiative and teamwork to ensure the success of events. The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $15 to $17 plus tips.

Requirements

• Six months or more experience bartending is required.
• Bartending school preferred.
• High School Diploma, G.E.D., or related food service experience required.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Must obtain and maintain ServeSafe Alcohol or eTIPS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent guest service and interaction with co-workers.
• Follow bar pre-shift notes, checklists, and menus to provide service as described per event.
• Serve alcoholic beverages following safe serving standards and regulations.
• Learn about various beer, wine, and spirits to upsell products to guests.
• Pour drinks responsibly according to company standards.
• Check guest IDs to verify minimum age for alcohol purchase.
• Communicate cut-off to guests as required and de-escalate intoxicated situations.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work station and ensure bar equipment is well maintained.
• Request additional product or restock as required.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of bar equipment.
