About The Position

At Exeter Finance, we are committed to helping customers find the right financing for their next vehicle purchase. The Bankruptcy Specialist will play a crucial role in this mission by reviewing and monitoring potential bankruptcy customers identified through various channels, including calls placed or received, Electronic Bankruptcy Notifications, and Filing notifications received through the Bankruptcy Servicer. This position is responsible for facilitating bankruptcy protection and coding, canceling repossession assignments and sales, as well as providing comprehensive bankruptcy case servicing. The Bankruptcy Specialist will handle calls from customers, attorneys, trustees, and bankruptcy servicers, ensuring compliance with Quality Assurance requirements, as well as State and Federal regulations. Additionally, the role involves reviewing and facilitating customer correspondence where applicable. The responsibilities of the Bankruptcy Specialist include managing and processing assigned volumes within bankruptcy functions, ensuring appropriate handling within established Service Level Agreements (SLA) and quality requirements. The specialist will complete thorough reviews and code accounts based on potential and actual bankruptcy notifications received through various means, including Electronic Bankruptcy Notifications, correspondence, and calls. The role requires servicing potential and protected bankruptcy calls while adhering to established call handling, quality assurance, and correspondence requirements. The Bankruptcy Specialist will also be responsible for completing end-to-end bankruptcy functions with accuracy and timeliness, in compliance with bankruptcy regulations, policies, and procedures. Collaboration with other departments, bankruptcy trustees, bankruptcy attorneys, and the Bankruptcy Servicer will be necessary as needed, along with performing other duties as assigned.
