About The Position

Please Note: This is a Utah-based hybrid position, which will require some regular in-office days each week. Additionally, employment with Medallion Bank is contingent on passing both a background check and maintaining a clean background. How You Will Support The Team: You will be responsible for assisting the Bankruptcy and Legal Manager in documenting and filing of loan bankruptcy materials. Responds to calls, concerns, and correspondence for bankruptcy. Monitor accounts throughout the bankruptcy process and supports relationships with outside parties and/or attorneys when necessary. Ensures full compliance with loan bankruptcy regulations, and verifies the bankruptcy is secured. What you will do: Upon notification that a borrower has filed bankruptcy review the documents and schedules associated with that filing. File Proof Of Claim Ensure the treatment of our loan and collateral is fair. Monitor the bankruptcy process through Discharge to ensure disbursements are being received in a timely manner from the bankruptcy trustee. As appropriate file Objections, Motions for Relief. As necessary, attend the 341 Hearing, or the Meeting of Creditors Review loans referred for legal action and determine the best course of action. Work with outside attorneys to represent the organization and to ensure proper steps are taken with regards to the bankruptcy proceeding. Reviews attorney or third-party invoices for accuracy. Researches and verifies borrower payment history and resolves payment posting discrepancies. Respond to received subpoena’s or summons appropriately. Identify process gaps and make recommendations for continuous improvement and implement solutions approved by management. Other related projects as needed. What you need to get the job done: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources or a related role; prior experience as an HR Coordinator preferred. PERFERRED SKILLS Understanding of bankruptcy regulations and processes preferred. Familiarity of accounting procedures, financial reporting, and cash flow analysis preferred Confidence to work with and manage attorneys nationwide that will represent the organization in legal proceedings. Availability to travel and act as a witness and provide testimony during court proceedings. Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, internal teams and outside parties. Proven effective negotiation skills. Requirements
