About The Position

McCalla Raymer Leibert Pierce, LLP is seeking an initiative-taking, Mississippi licensed, Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney with 2–3 years of experience to join our dynamic National Bankruptcy team. Our firm represents secured creditors, with a primary focus on mortgage default legal services, including Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy matters across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the Bankruptcy Code, experience handling contested and uncontested matters, and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed and in good standing in Mississippi.
• 2–3 years of experience in consumer bankruptcy law, preferably representing creditors.
• Knowledge of bankruptcy rules and electronic court filing systems (e.g., PACER, CM/ECF).
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and technology.

Nice To Haves

• Multi-jurisdictional bar admission(s).
• Experience working with mortgage servicers or financial institutions.
• Familiarity with BK case management systems such as BKFS, Tempo, or LPS Desktop.

Responsibilities

• Represent secured creditors in consumer bankruptcy matters.
• Handle Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage high-volume caseload effectively.
• Attend hearings throughout the State of Mississippi as needed.
