About The Position

Responsible for Commercial payments and payoffs processing for Commercial Loan Operations, while adhering to Department procedures, Corporate policies, and Compliance, Audit and Legal requirements. Supports all projects and on track to become subject matter expert on all initiatives within the area.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree and a minimum of 1 years' related work experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 3 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 1 years' related experience

Responsibilities

  • Complete high complexity data entry updates, analysis and Interpretation of payment and payoff processing.
  • Complete advanced document review and/or preparation with interpretation.
  • Respond to or initiate complex requests.
  • Complete high complexity standard and non-standardized level research over range of disciplines with interaction with internal business partners for problem resolution.
  • Complete high complexity level analysis and reconciliation.
  • Complete highly complex, non-standardized exception processing.
  • Complete high level complexity document to system quality control on activities completed.
  • Assist with cross-training less experienced personnel by providing coaching.
  • Submit refunds though paper or electronic general ledger entries for multiple departments in Commercial Loan Operations.
  • Cross train in disciplines/functions of Commercial Loan Operations and serve as back-up for multiple functions within the area.
  • Prepare procedural updates for multiple disciplines/departments of Commercial Loan Operations as requested.
  • Assist with management requests to support department audits.
  • Serve as back-up to Group Leader as required by absence and under direction of management.
  • Participate in projects as assigned.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.
