About The Position

The Banking Officer is responsible for managing banking services for the City of San Antonio, including depository, lockbox, and merchant banking. Requirements

• Experience with Merchant Banking services.

Responsibilities

• Manage the banking services provided to the City, including depository, lockbox, and merchant banking.
• Perform strategic financial analyses and planning to accommodate the financing needs of the City.
• Evaluate various banking services such as merchant banking, escrow agent, and custodial services.
• Monitor the depository services contract by analyzing and reviewing services and costs.
• Prepare Request for Proposals for the selection of banking services.
• Monitor equipment lease purchase agreements and ensure compliance with contracts.
• Coordinate lease purchase financing of capital equipment.
• Act as a liaison between the Finance Department and other departments, as well as external contacts.
• Provide backup support for special projects, including cash flow models and investment strategies.
