About The Position

An esteemed and growing credit union is seeking a Relationship Banker II / Member Service Representative to build meaningful relationships and deliver personalized financial solutions to our valued members. As a Relationship Banker II / MSR, you’ll play a vital role in creating positive financial experiences for members. You’ll use your product knowledge and consultative skills to uncover needs, recommend solutions, and deepen member relationships—while delivering exceptional service across in‑person, phone, and digital interactions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship-building, problem-solving, and contributing to the growth of both members and the organization.

Requirements

  • 6 months to 2 years of related experience (including preparatory roles)
  • Minimum of 2 years in a proactive sales role
  • At least 1 additional year in a banking or credit union environment handling accounts and loan applications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong customer service skills, including handling challenging interactions
  • Proven sales aptitude and relationship-building ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations (rates, percentages, payments)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Ability to be bonded
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Notary designation

Responsibilities

  • Build trust and long-term relationships through a consultative interview approach
  • Open and maintain consumer accounts and assist members with financial solutions
  • Facilitate consumer loans, including mortgage support and loan applications
  • Educate members on financial products and services that support their current and future goals
  • Calculate loan terms, interest rates, payment amounts, and amount financed
  • Process transactions and document member interactions accurately in the core system
  • Collaborate with internal departments to research and resolve member concerns
  • Work closely with centralized lending and loan processing teams to ensure a seamless experience
  • Complete follow-ups through the loan closing process
  • Perform administrative support duties such as scanning, reporting, and documentation
  • Maintain compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
