About The Position

As a Banking Advisor Sr within PNC's Private Bank organization in Chicago, IL, this role involves identifying and providing guidance on appropriate credit and cash management solutions for current and prospective high-net worth clients as part of a broader Private Banking team. The advisor will leverage developed networks of internal and external clients to introduce and sell AMG banking products and services. The position requires high proficiency in building relationships with partners, clients, and COIs, and making day-to-day decisions in executing AMG banking transactions to ensure quality and efficiency. Key responsibilities include expertise in the origination, financial analysis, negotiation, and documentation of credit and non-credit banking products and services. The role also entails managing a book of business to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and sales revenue expansion, demonstrating advanced ability to analyze, evaluate, structure, and mitigate credit risk for complex requests, and providing leadership and mentoring to team members. The Banking Advisor Sr is expected to ensure compliance with current banking policies and regulations, while embodying customer-focused values and effectively managing risks in line with PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework. PNC operates as an in-office company.

Requirements

  • Appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role.
  • Highly proficient at building relationships with internal and external partners, clients and COIs.
  • Highly proficient in the origination, financial analysis, negotiation and documentation of credit and non-credit banking products and services.
  • University / college degree (Bachelor's degree).
  • Industry relevant experience is typically 8+ years.
  • Candidates being considered for this position will be subject to additional background checks as required by Consumer Financial Protection Bureau regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and provides guidance and advice on appropriate credit and cash management solutions for current and prospective high-net worth clients as part of a broader Private Banking team.
  • Leverages developed networks of internal and external clients to introduce and sell AMG banking products and services.
  • Makes day-to-day decisions in executing AMG banking transactions to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Manages/monitors book of business to ensure client satisfaction, client retention and expansion of sales revenue.
  • Demonstrates advanced ability to analyze, evaluate, structure, and mitigate credit risk for the most complex credit requests by utilizing knowledge of advanced credit fundamentals and internal credit policies.
  • Provides leadership and mentoring to members of team.
  • Ensures compliance with current banking policies and regulations.
  • Be Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Be Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
