About The Position

The Banker role involves overseeing the design, development, and delivery of strategic banking initiatives for ultra-high net worth (UHNW) technology entrepreneurs. The position requires independently sourcing, developing, and cultivating new relationships, as well as managing existing ones, with UHNW technology industry clients. This includes understanding their wealth management needs and providing targeted banking advice on financial solutions for personal and business needs across short-, medium-, and long-term horizons. Bankers will advise clients on their overall balance sheets, covering asset allocation, investment management, wealth planning, credit, and banking needs, driving a strategic and holistic goals-based planning approach. The role involves partnering with internal specialists to offer interdisciplinary expertise and connect clients with all firm lines of business. Collaboration is key to developing cross-line-of-business programs and offerings for national technology industry clients, including inviting them to events and facilitating business referrals. Bankers will represent the Private Bank at key technology industry national conferences, organizing events, sourcing speakers, and moderating panels. They will also design and curate strategic marketing content for technology business development to expand client reach. A core part of the role is driving the development of customized lending platform solutions for technology clients, covering lending and concentrated holdings for founders with highly-concentrated private positions. This includes developing frameworks for customized holdings and gifting analysis for executives and billionaires, considering executive-level compensation, charitable gifting, and tax implications. The role utilizes the firm's investment platform to influence clients' charitable gifting, private credit, fixed income, and tax loss harvesting strategies, and requires acquiring new business assets from both existing and new clients. Finally, the Banker must ensure strict adherence to all risk and control policies, regulatory guidelines, and security measures.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Banker, Private Banker, Investment/Wealth Management Associate, Financial Analyst, or related occupation.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field of study plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or as Banker, Private Banker, Investment/Wealth Management Associate, Financial Analyst, or related occupation.
  • Five (5) years of experience with financial services sales.
  • Five (5) years of experience with traditional investments.
  • Five (5) years of experience with alternative investments including hedge funds, real estate, and private equity.
  • Five (5) years of experience with wealth planning.
  • Five (5) years of experience with private banking.
  • Five (5) years of experience with fixed income.
  • Five (5) years of experience with currency capital markets.

  • Five (5) years of experience using Monte Carlo simulations to generate multi-period projections which subject and stress hypothetical portfolio allocations to complex potential future market conditions.
  • Five (5) years of experience analyzing decomposition of expected return, volatility, and liquidity of various strategic asset allocations.
  • Five (5) years of experience performing risk analysis on portfolio asset allocations using historical index data to test the performance of asset allocations during historical market conditions.
  • Three (3) years of experience with conducting market research, financial modeling, and scenario analyses to drive financing and strategic initiatives across SaaS, artificial intelligence (AI), Cloud, and financial technology (Fintech) while advising C-suite executives including founders, Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), Chief Technology Officers (CTOs), Chief Investment Officers (CIOs), and tech-focused family offices.
  • Three (3) years of experience with performing quantitative analysis of Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), net retention, burn multiples, Intellectual Property (IP) collateral, and customer concentration in order to underwrite pre-Initial Public Offering (IPO) private-market executives and founders and to assess credit worthiness of concentrated assets owners within the private market.
  • Three (3) years of experience with building models to review key tax considerations and option exercise opportunities based on 409a valuation, preferred rounds, and anticipated future valuation to help clients strategically plan around Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), Performance Stock Units (PSUs), and Performance Stock Options (PSOs) tied to product adoption, revenue milestones, and liquidity scenarios.
  • Three (3) years of experience with executing detailed portfolio modeling and tax impact computations around Qualified Small Business Stock (QSBS) stacking, Section 1202 exemptions, lifetime gift, and Generation Skipping Tax (GST) planning ahead of founder liquidity events.
  • Three (3) years of experience with researching and analyzing donor-advised funds, impact-investing vehicles, and grant structures to align clients' digital transformation goals with tax-efficient wealth transfer.
  • Three (3) years of experience with reviewing client holdings to determine best gifting candidates including private shares of tech companies and digital assets.
  • Three (3) years of experience with synthesizing complex technical and financial analyses, including cloud architectures, AI model risks and tokenization strategies, into clear presentations for boards, investors, and family offices.
  • One of the two following groupings of FINRA licenses: SIE, 7, 63, and 65; or alternatively, SIE, 7, and 66.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate to develop cross lines of business programs and offerings for national technology industry vertical clients, inviting clients to all key events and sponsorships and facilitating the exchange of business referrals.
  • Represent the Private Bank at key technology industry national conferences by spearheading organization of specific events, sourcing speakers, and moderating panels.
  • Design and curate strategic marketing content for technology business development, in order to help bankers expand their client reach.
  • Drive development of customized lending platform solutions for technology clients across lending and concentrated holdings for founders with highly-concentrated private positions.
  • Develop framework for customized holdings and gifting analysis for executives and billionaires with executive-level compensation, charitable gifting opportunities, and tax considerations.
