Overview Role Purpose: The Community Bank Market President serves as the senior executive for the market, providing full autonomy within the region while working collectively with other Market Presidents to shape and execute enterprise-wide initiatives. This role is the leader of the market, responsible for strategic growth, community engagement, and leadership of a high-performing team, while supporting compliance alignment and fostering a strong organizational culture. Position Summary: Reporting to the President of Tompkins Community Bank, the Market President oversees local strategy, financial performance, and talent development. They maintain strong community relationships, ensure alignment with regulatory requirements through collaboration with compliance teams, and contributes to enterprise-level planning. Position Goals: Provide Strong Leadership and Talent Development: Inspire and lead the local leadership team, set clear objectives, and promote professional growth. Drive Strategic Growth and Financial Performance: Develop and execute market-based business plans aligned with corporate objectives. Support Regulatory Compliance and Operational Excellence: Oversee compliance alignment and endorse adherence to federal and state regulations. Enhance Community and Stakeholder Relationships: Represent the bank in the community and industry forums, cultivate relationships with clients, community leaders, and board members, and maintain a positive public image. Contribute to Enterprise-Wide Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with senior leadership on long-term strategic planning, provide local market input for budgeting, and identify opportunities for new products and services.
