About The Position

The Bank Manager II position at BMO involves guiding, directing, and coaching employees to deliver exceptional service to customers and prospects. The role requires understanding customer needs to provide sales and service that align with their financial objectives. The manager will advise customers on products and strategies, make referrals to other business groups, and support sales and customer service activities to meet strategic goals while complying with legal and regulatory requirements. This position also acts as an originator of consumer loans and requires federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry. A criminal background review and credit history evaluation will be necessary for this role. The manager is expected to foster a culture aligned with BMO's purpose and values, build interdependent teams, and develop a branch business plan to maximize growth and customer retention. Responsibilities include conducting sales calls, developing new customer relationships, and maintaining a high-touch relationship with key customers. The manager will also resolve customer-related issues, monitor sales performance, and lead the implementation of new programs and processes within the branch.

Requirements

  • Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of retail banking products and services.
  • Advanced knowledge of competitive marketplace and trends.
  • Working knowledge of branch operational processes and policies.
  • Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
