About The Position
As a Bank Examiner in the Maine Bureau of Financial Institutions, you'll help ensure these institutions operate safely and responsibly, protecting not just dollars and cents but the trust and economic stability of individuals and businesses across Maine. Candidates must have access to reliable transportation as financial institutions subject to the Bureau's jurisdiction are located state-wide and, in some cases, out of state. Some overnight state-wide travel and some out-of-state travels are required, averaging 15-20% of an examiner's work year, depending upon assignments and location of residence. As you develop your skills, you may work as an examiner-in-charge.
