About The Position

The banding line operator oversees the accurate packaging of all coils processed by the slitters on the banding line. Candidate must be able to train on 1st shift in the first 90 days of employment.

Requirements

• High school education or GED required.
• Team member must have the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Must be able to also meet the physical requirements of the job including the ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet on a concrete floor for the entire shift.
• Team member must also be able to effectively communicate with others and work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all safety protocols outlined in the Employee Handbook for the protection of personnel and facility.
• Follows attendance policies detailed in the Employee Handbook.
• Abides by the packaging schedule as instructed by the supervisor.
• Operates automatic banders efficiently.
• Provides guidance to support personnel as needed.
• Trains line helpers in equipment operation for their designated tasks on the automated banding line.
• Other duties as assigned.
