About The Position

Patriot Preparatory Academy is seeking a passionate and skilled Band Teacher to lead our middle and high school instrumental music program (grades 6–12). The ideal candidate will inspire students, foster a strong performance culture, and grow a vibrant band program that enhances school pride and community engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education (required)
• Valid Ohio teaching license (or ability to obtain)
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills

• Experience directing ensembles preferred

Responsibilities

• Teach middle and high school band courses
• Plan engaging lessons aligned to Ohio’s Learning Standards for Music
• Prepare students for concerts and school performances
• Differentiate instruction to meet varying skill levels
• Maintain inventory, music library, and equipment
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
• Support a positive, structured classroom environment
