About The Position
Vernon Township School District is seeking a Band Director for grades 6-12 at Vernon Township High School and Glen Meadow Middle School. The position requires a New Jersey Certification as Teacher of Music and is open to candidates with a specialization in percussion and beneficial experience in brass instrumental pedagogy. The ideal candidate will have experience in jazz and marching band, and will be responsible for conducting and working with percussion and wind students. The position includes opportunities to participate in afterschool instrumental ensembles, including marching band and jazz band, and requires strong conducting and leadership skills.
