About The Position

The Biomedical Science team at Pulse is currently recruiting a Band 5 Biomedical Scientist in Histology to work in a busy hospital in Warwick. We are looking for a biomedical scientist who can make a real difference in supporting the laboratory's cellular histology service.

Requirements

• UK NHS or private sector Histology laboratory experience.
• Relevant qualification in Biomedical Science (e.g., BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent).
• Proficiency in microtomy, staining, and embedding.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in microtomy, able to cut over 35 to 40 blocks per hour to a high standard.
• Experience in embedding and staining.
• Support the senior biomedical scientists in delivering the service.
• Provide guidance to junior members of staff.
