Urban Alliance is seeking a Program Coordinator to join our team in the Baltimore region to support our Out-of-School (OST) time internship programs. The Program Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the organization provides leadership development training, career readiness workshops and high-quality internships for program participants. They assist in the design of, and are responsible for facilitating weekly leadership training, pre-internship skill-building, and coordinating paid internships with Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses alumni. The Program Coordinator is the primary point of contact for mentors and schools, guiding participants as they strengthen leadership skills and gain real career experience. Knowledge of youth leadership development, workforce readiness training, or internship coordination is a plus, especially experience supporting high school students in building career and leadership skills. This position reports to the Program Director.

Conduct the recruitment of program participants by visiting and facilitating information presentations at Baltimore City high schools and community organizations
Utilize Urban Alliance’s curriculum and materials to create an engaging, inclusive, and youth-centered learning environment that supports leadership skill development and active participation
Facilitate leadership development workshops throughout the program year
Manage the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business internship cohorts and conduct formal evaluations of intern job performance and skill development
Develop and sustain meaningful relationships with cohort participants, to ensure they remain engaged and on track to complete both program and internship requirements
Ongoing outreach to Urban Alliance Alumni to maintain relationships and assist the Director with program planning
Maintain case notes for current and past program participants
Track and report attendance, participation and internship hours
Identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for program improvement based on student data and feedback
Work independently and proactively to manage time, follow-through on action items, meet deadlines, and be accountable for expectations
Participate in continuous learning and professional development to strengthen youth development and workforce readiness practices
Perform other duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, youth development, or a related field; or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience working directly with high school students, preferably in youth development, education, or workforce readiness
Strong facilitation skills with the ability to engage diverse groups of young people in an interactive, supportive learning environment
Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong relationship-building skills with students, families, schools, and community partners
Comfort with data tracking and reporting; proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn Salesforce or similar systems
Flexible and collaborative team player who can also work independently

Experience working in Baltimore City schools or with Baltimore-based youth-serving organizations
Familiarity with workforce readiness training, leadership development, or internship programs
Background in coordinating programs that combine academic, professional, and social-emotional skill development
Knowledge of local industries and small business networks (experience with healthcare or 10,000 Small Businesses alumni partners a plus)
