About The Position
The Ballistician at Radiant Blue, LLC will play a pivotal role in the development and analysis of solid rocket motor systems specifically designed for defense applications. This position requires collaboration with some of the brightest minds in the aerospace industry to design, optimize, and assess propulsion systems that are crucial for advancing aerospace technology. The Ballistician will conduct in-depth analyses of solid rocket motor ballistic performance, which includes trajectory prediction, propulsion efficiency, and flight dynamics. Utilizing cutting-edge modeling and simulation tools, the Ballistician will refine motor designs and enhance performance metrics to meet the rigorous demands of defense applications. In addition to technical analysis, the Ballistician will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that ballistic analysis is seamlessly integrated into the overall system development and design processes. This role also involves performing comprehensive sensitivity analyses and risk assessments to guarantee the reliability and effectiveness of propulsion systems across various operational scenarios. The Ballistician will be responsible for preparing and delivering detailed technical reports and presentations, effectively communicating analysis findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and project teams. Mentoring and training other engineers will be a key aspect of this role, as well as participating in both internal and external technical design reviews. The ideal candidate will be confident and comfortable working in a hands-on consultant capacity with minimal direction and oversight, demonstrating self-motivation and leadership skills. The position requires travel, and the candidate must be able to present technical information to both internal and external customers, including technical and leadership personnel. The Ballistician will also collaborate with project management teams to monitor progress and ensure successful implementation of all program requirements.
