About The Position

Responsible for the care and maintenance of the golf balls, carts, and range. Performs other duties as required by the Golf Shop Supervisor.

Requirements

• Sufficient Training and education to demonstrate possession of required knowledge, skills and qualifications are required.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Should have excellent customer service skills, along with basic mechanical skills.
• Ability to work under stressful situations.
• Valid Arizona driver's license and good driving record for insurance purposes.

Responsibilities

• DRIVING RANGE: Pick the driving range clean at least once a day.
• Wash the range balls, removing any poor quality or non-range balls and fill the ball machine as required.
• Remove all empty baskets from the driving range and place in racks next to the ball machine.
• CART BARN: Check condition of the Picker Cart as well as the Picker.
• Make sure battery, oil levels, tires and other cart parts are in proper working order.
• Ensure that the Range Ball Machine is clean and working properly. Service the machine as required.
• Clean all rental carts and make sure that all are in proper working order. Insure that the carts are rotated to ensure equal use and charging
• Routinely check and service range equipment.
• Place scorecards and pencils in all carts; clean and drain ball washer at the end of the each day
• Repair any minor problems or report to the Supervisor any conditions that will require the assistance from the Golf Cart Mechanic.
• Ensure all carts, balls and other equipment is properly stored and the cart barn is secured before leaving the property.
• Maintain a clean and orderly garage.
• GENERAL: Gas all fleet golf carts as well as rolling stock once per week and record.
• Report all unsafe conditions or deficiencies to Supervisor.
• Maintains consistent record of acceptable attendance and punctuality according to policy guidelines.
