JOB SUMMARY: The person who occupies this position is responsible for loading bale machine with paper scrap and tying up condensed scrap.

Requirements

  • Must speak, read and write in English.
  • No experience needed.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for loading paper scrap onto conveyer belt of bale machine. (With use of crane, loaded dumpster is lifted in front of belt and locked onto baler stand. Dumpster is then tilted by operating crane). Baler is to spread out scrap along belt so that machine does not get congested.
  • Responsible for wrapping baled scrap with metal straps. Metal straps are fastened together and tightened by use of stretcher.
  • Weigh bales of scrap and fill out inventory tag to be attached to bale. Information on tag includes grade and weight of bale. (Baler places bales on weight scale by use of forklift).
  • Baler is to stack all bales according to grade. Baler does this by use of forklift.
  • When ready to be shipped, Baler is to load bales onto trailer beds (loaded with forklift).
