  • Operate baling machine according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Bale salvaged textile items to meet production goals.
  • Secure each bale with wire ties.
  • Weigh each bale, record its weight, and mark it accordingly.
  • Use a forklift to store bales in designated areas.
  • Notify supervisor for wire tie orders or machine service/repair needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations and warehouse areas.
  • Move materials between workstations as needed.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and wear required safety equipment.
  • Support the agency's safety program and contribute to overall safety.
  • Ability to operate a baling machine safely.
  • Ability to read operating and safety instructions.
  • Ability to manipulate bales weighing up to 650 to 750 pounds.
  • Certification or ability to be certified on a forklift.
  • Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.
  • Ability to weigh and record weights accurately.
