About The Position

The Baler Operator on the 3rd Shift plays a critical role in the efficient processing and compacting of recyclable and waste materials within a durable goods manufacturing environment. This position ensures that materials are properly baled to meet quality and safety standards, facilitating smooth downstream handling and transportation. The operator is responsible for monitoring equipment performance, performing routine maintenance, and promptly addressing any operational issues to minimize downtime. Requirements

• Previous experience operating industrial baling equipment or similar machinery.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor baling machinery to compact recyclable and waste materials according to production schedules.
• Inspect materials prior to baling to ensure they meet quality standards and remove any contaminants or non-conforming items.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of baler equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Document production data, including quantities baled and any equipment malfunctions or safety incidents.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to maintain a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.
