About The Position

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Balance & Vibration Technician to join our manufacturing team in Aiken, SC. This role is responsible for operating balance machinery and performing mechanical tasks to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial equipment and a strong commitment to safety and precision. This includes removing and installing components such as bearings, flingers, end plates, and shipping brackets, as well as fabricating balance weights using milling machines, chop saws, and other tools. The role involves making minor equipment adjustments and repairs as needed, and adding or removing weights through drilling, tapping, bolting, welding, and using cutting torches and air tools to meet roll specifications. Maintaining consistent product quality throughout the balancing process is essential, along with accurately preparing time and production records. The operator must apply knowledge of job-specific specifications to ensure compliance, operate cranes and forklifts safely and efficiently, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to understand, follow instructions, and complete tasks.
  • Good understanding of measuring instruments and capable of taking accurate measurements.
  • Knowledge of machine tool and fabricating operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with industrial equipment.
  • Ability to translate prints and instructions into a finished quality roll product.
