About The Position

The Balance Engineer will be recognized as an authoritative source of technical expertise and advice in a local area within a business and viewed as a key member of the broader team of technical expertise by senior capability leadership. What you will be doing: Work with Engineering Design to develop innovative and practical balancing solutions for complex components, sub-assemblies and engine assemblies. Work with Manufacturing Engineers to develop appropriate methods for incorporation into Assembly Instructions. Work with tool designers and external vendors to define tooling, fixtures and machines required to perform balancing operations for current and future assemblies in Indianapolis. Participate in capital improvement projects procuring new equipment and tooling. Improve your technical skills through internal and external training. Participate in product verification audits. Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with 5+ years of experience in dynamics, design or manufacturing disciplines; OR
• Masters Degree in Engineering with 3+ years of experience in dynamics, design or manufacturing disciplines;
• In order to be considered for this role, you must be a US Citizen

• Demonstrated team leadership skills
• Theoretical understanding of static and dynamic balancing techniques
• Experience in the design, development and production of aerospace components and assemblies.
• Dynamics experience
• Experience using PFMEA for process design and improvement activities
• Experience using PLM/NX for data and document management and Solid Modelling
• Experience using Schenk balancing equipment.
• Advanced understanding of static and dynamic balancing techniques
