About The Position

Affinity Group is looking for a passionate and experienced Bakery Technician to join our growing team. If you love baking and cake decorating, enjoy working hands on, and have a talent for teaching others, this role is for you. You will play a key part in supporting our retail bakery partners through in store training, program execution, and product support. In this role, you will travel to store locations, help launch new bakery programs, train in store staff on production and merchandising, and support our manufacturer partners by promoting high quality bakery and deli products. No two days are the same. You might be decorating cakes one day, teaching merchandising techniques the next, or assisting with store openings and remodels.

Requirements

2+ years of hands-on experience in a bakery, deli, or foodservice setting
Cake decorating skills and a solid understanding of bakery operations
A knack for teaching and motivating others.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
A self-starter mindset with the flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Comfort using basic technology (email, mobile devices, Microsoft Office)
Valid driver's license required.
Ability to lift 30 lbs, work in coolers/freezers, and operate industrial bakery equipment

Training experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Travel frequently and work flexible hours to meet the needs of stores and training sessions
