The Bakery Technical Counselor will provide technical support to internal and external customers through product demonstrations, ideation and trainings. This professional will cover the state of TX and will require up to 75% travel with overnights as needed. The ideal candidate would live in the Dallas or Houston area.

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • Minimum 5 years retail bakery experience, focusing on product training and in store bakery merchandising
  • Minimum 3 years cake decorating experience, advance cake decorating techniques required
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills to include solid presentation skills
  • Strong PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Travel up to 75% in the state of TX

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree in culinary arts/pastry preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish/ English is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and provide training on all products at Customer retail locations for all levels of retail Associates, including Brokers
  • Support attainment of annual sales and profit targets in conjunction with Sales Manager expectations
  • Develop target account list of key leverage retailers in respective geographic sales area and spend minimum of 60% of time on agreed-upon target accounts
  • Develop and maintain close business relationships with key retailers and provide training and merchandising expertise
  • Assist Sales Managers and Brokers at food shows, sales meeting and industry events
  • Provide support for new store openings
  • Provide product expertise and "pull-through" sales opportunities
  • Develop prospect list for new product placement opportunities with assigned account(s)
  • Provide overall and new product training, to include seminar trainings.
