POSITION PURPOSE: We are looking for a fearless and accountable Bakery Team Lead who is positive and passionate! Our Bakery Team Lead will be responsible for executing a wide variety of tasks throughout the store. The Bakery Team Lead will effectively direct and supervise all activities of the bakery department and its personnel to achieve merchandising, sales and customer service goals established for the department. A Bakery Team Lead is a responsible team player and always ready to learn. A Bakery Team Lead can work at a fast pace, has a keen eye for detail, and will provide a memorable experience for all our customers! Responsibilities: A Bakery Team Lead is a responsible, friendly person who can safely work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service. A Bakery Team Lead’s responsibilities include: Maintaining a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow team members. Engaging with customers through smiles and greetings, offering product information, providing selling suggestions and active sampling and always giving a genuine thank you. Focusing on providing fast and friendly customer service. Processing cash register transactions, giving back change, processing checks, EBTs, and refunds. Using scale printer machine, ensuring weights and pricing are correct. Understanding the importance of and monitoring product pricing, signage, and placement as well as the use of product shelf tags and shelf signage. Keeping a clean, neat and orderly check stand/sales counter and work production areas. Wrapping, bagging, boxing, weighing, slicing, finishing, and stocking bakery department products, rotating them as necessary to ensure quality and safety. Displaying goods following bakery department and/or merchandising guidelines. Understanding the importance and the monitoring of product pricing, signage, and placement as well as the use of product shelf tags and shelf signage. Keeping a clean, neat and orderly bench, production area, storage area, and walk-in coolers and freezers. Helping in the wrapping, boxing, weighing, slicing, finishing, and stocking bakery department products, rotating them as necessary to ensure quality and safety. Displaying goods following bakery department and/or merchandising guidelines. Taking customer orders, ensuring orders are completed on time and to the customer’s satisfaction. Helping decorators and bakers with personalization of cakes and icing of cakes, donuts, sweet rolls etc. All other related duties as assigned
