About The Position

Oversees the bakery operation of the store to ensure that all budgeted financial objectives and departmental product quality and presentation standards are achieved to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Ensures that all corporate and state sanitation procedures and regulations are met. Supervises and directs the work of Bakery personnel within the department. Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• High School Degree or equivalent.
• 3+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage day to day department operations including supervision of department staff.
• Responsible for appropriate scheduling and staffing of department to satisfy business needs.
• Ensure adherence to all Federal and State laws, as well as corporate policies and procedures related to safety/sanitation.
• Responsible for hiring, training, and development of all departmental staff.
• Document performance issues and recommend disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company dress code.
• Ensure associates provide the highest level of customer service and adhere to C.H.O.P.S behaviors and 5S standards.
• Monitor, control, and achieve pre-established financial results for the department including Payroll, Sales, Gross Profit, CTO, Shrink, and Inventory levels.
• Ensure appropriate merchandising of department products according to Corporate planograms and special programs.
• Maintain proper shelf and display conditions and stock levels, especially for sale items.
• Ensure proper item rotation and compliance with corporate, Federal, and State signing policies and regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
