About The Position

Bakery Sanitation plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized bakery environment. This position ensures all production areas, equipment, and facilities meet food safety and quality standards, supporting the bakery team in producing exceptional doughnuts.

Requirements

  • Prior sanitation, janitorial, or food production cleaning experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation chemicals and safe handling procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and stand, bend, or move for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • A food handler's permit is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, weekly, and deep-cleaning tasks for bakery floors, walls, restrooms, breakrooms, and storage areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness of common areas, waste zones, and loading docks.
  • Empty and sanitize trash, recycling, and compost receptacles; replace liners as needed.
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and power-wash floors to maintain slip-free, food-safe conditions.
  • Restock all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Restock and maintain all cleaning products.
  • Clean, sanitize, and reassemble equipment according to established procedures and schedules.
  • Follow all sanitation SOPs and safety data sheet (SDS) guidelines for chemical use and handling.
  • Ensure cleaning and sanitizing are completed.
  • Adhere to all food safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and OSHA standards.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Immediately report maintenance or safety issues to the Manager.
  • Additional duties may be assigned.
