About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and communicate effectively.
• Mathematical skills for handling money and measurements.
• Common sense reasoning to carry out instructions.
• Meets state minimum requirements to work with bakery equipment.
• Valid State Food Handlers Permit.
• Valid Driver's License or State I.D. Card.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a bakery or food service environment.
• Customer service experience.
• Knowledge of bakery products and services.

Responsibilities

• Reporting for assigned shifts on time and regularly.
• Promoting sales through active discussions with guests and offering product recommendations.
• Providing exceptional service by greeting guests and informing them of specials and product information.
• Mentoring new associates and assuring a positive learning environment.
• Understanding and performing various bakery tasks including finishing par bake products and labeling.
• Operating bakery equipment safely and correctly.
• Communicating and completing guests' special order requests accurately.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and food handling regulations.
• Participating in the Bakery Department's accident reduction plan.
